Simon Peter

"In His Own Words"

Follow Saint Peter’s life from John the Baptist, to meeting Jesus, to carrying out the great commandment.

How did he feel when he was the only one who could answer Jesus’ question “Who do they say that I am?.” Or when he was told by Jesus that he would that night betray Him?

What role did Peter’s wife play in his life?

Judas Iscariot

"In His Own Words"

Meet arguably the most hated man in history.

Why did he betray Jesus, what were his motivations? What did he hope to accomplish?

How did Jesus feel about him? Was there ever a chance he might have made a different decision.  Does he feel any remorse?

Joseph

"In His Own Words"

Saint Joseph, the father of Jesus, husband to Mary.  Saint Joseph born in Bethlehem, raised in Nazareth.  Saint Joseph - A carpenter, a builder, a provider, a teacher.

Saint Joseph, a just man, a man of God, a man of dreams.  A man who said yes to God.

Meet one man’s vision of the person, the personality, the humor, the life of Saint Joseph: next to Mary the one who knew Jesus the best.

Doubting Thomas

"In His Own Words"

Thomas was the only Apostle who said he was willing to die with Jesus. When the others were arguing about going back to Bethany, Thomas said, “Let us go, even if it means we will die with Him”.

We have learned more about Jesus as a result of the questions from Thomas. In answering a question from Thomas, Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life…”

What did he doubt? Is doubting different than not believing? What role did Thomas play in the life of Jesus?

Paul

"In His Own Words"

Saint Paul Head ShotPaul was born in Tarsus, Cilicia. He was a Jew, a Pharisee who hated and persecuted the followers of Jesus. On his way to Damascus to arrest one group of followers, he was knocked to the ground and was blinded.

As an apostle he was imprisoned, flogged, and many times was near death.  Five times he received the forty lashes minus one. Three times he was beaten with rods, once he was stoned, three times he was shipwrecked and for a night and a day he was adrift at sea.

He was finally imprisoned in Rome and was beheaded.
